This the assignment for ALL THREE GRADES for the remote learning week. We will be working on various activities involving this particular ELEMENT OF ART in our daily online lessons through Teams.
Space
SPACE: the areas between, around and inside shapes and forms in an artistic composition.
Open each of the PDF files to get an understanding of what SPACE actually is, and how artists use visual "tricks" to fool the eye into thinking that there is depth and 3-D space shown on a flat surface.
These tricks are shown through : SIZE, OVERLAPPING, PLACEMENT, DETAIL and COLOUR. All of these can create an illusion of space.
Assignment
Here is the worksheet with directions provided. You will be expected to complete the city block, label the positive and negative space and draw a picture using 3 techniques on any paper you can, in pencil to the BEST of your artistic ability and skill level.
